GVC said that it has already been approached by several companies interested in buying parts of the bwin.party business.

The Chief Executive of GVC Kenny Alexander told the Telegraph newspaper that over the last few weeks several companies have approached him in the hope of purchasing parts of the business including bwin’s Kalixa payments processing business, the Foxy Bingo platform and also bwin.party’s US facing business.

However Mr Alexander said that all had been refused and none of the meetings went far enough to even discuss numbers. He told the newspaper that his prime goal is to complete the deal and to integrate bwin.party into GVC and hopefully stop the declining revenues at the once giant online gaming firm and turn a profit.

The takeover by GVC was a long drawn out affair with bwin.party once accepting an offer by 888 Holdings before changing its mind when a larger offer came from GVC.
