(Exclusive coverage from Las Vegas) Gamblit Gaming's CMO shares insights on the 2015 Global Gaming Expo. “Everyone was excited about our mix of games that appeal to millennials and games that use skill for the casino floor,” he says.

How was the 2015 G2E for Gamblit Gaming?

We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better response at the show. From press to operators, our booth was backed from show open to close, with all four TV networks and national coverage like Daily Show and CBS This Morning, to all the major operators, everyone was excited about our mix of games that appeal to millennials and games that use skill for the casino floor.

What products did you introduce at the trade show?

We introduced our new Gamestation, which is a 3-screen circular device that has individual big HD touch screens with a wide variety of single player games. Whether you are a 55 year old female that loves word assembly games, or a 23 year old male that loves to blow stuff up, we showed a wide variety of gamblified arcade style games. Our biggest hit was Grab Poker, a multiplayer game for 2 – 4 people on our interactive touch screen table, which can live in a bar or lounge – somewhere 21-45 year olds are already hanging out. It’s a rake game, so the house takes money off the top and players try to build the best poker hand possible by quickly grabbing cards while competing for the pot of money.

How has the growth of iGaming influenced the development of the G2E? How do you see the online gaming sector evolving within the show over the next years?

I think the great thing about iGaming is that it’s making people think about the huge market of mobile game players throughout the world. Everyone has a high powered computer in their pocket and there’s a massive opportunity to reach those players on a casino floor, especially if you give them something they are interested in playing.

What were the highlights of this G2E edition?

I personally loved seeing the new range of games from the various innovative companies on the floor; I think slot games are beautiful, but being a millennial and a gamer (who has also spent 20 years making video games), I’ve never had an interest in them. So as a consumer, it’s exciting to see what is going to be hitting the floor next year. We actually ran an e-sports inspired tournament in our booth where people competed in our match 3 game Smoothie Blast and won prizes for top scores on a leaderboard, like Apple Watches and Drones. Attendees got so competitive, it was great – everyone could see how it could draw in a new crowd at a casino!

What are your plans for the future?

We are working hard to finish our games so they are ready for the floor and for consumers, both for the Gamestation and the interactive tables. The response has been overwhelming and it’s actually been hard to keep up with demand, which is an amazing problem to have! Look for us on the strip of Las Vegas next year as well as several other areas in the USA, and we have some great game launches coming to the UK Real Money mobile market as well.
