Penn National and The D Las Vegas join Nevada Resort Association

Penn National Gaming, which owns the Tropicana Las Vegas and M Resort, and The D Las Vegas have joined the Nevada Resort Association, the trade group announced Thursday.

Penn National Gaming, which owns the Tropicana Las Vegas and M Resort, and The D Las Vegas have joined the Nevada Resort Association, the trade group announced Thursday.

Bob Sheldon, president of the Tropicana and M Resort, and D Las Vegas CEO Derek Stevens will join the Resort Association board.

"Their experience, creativity and energy will be a welcome addition to board," said Corey Sanders, the Resort Association's current chairman, who is chief operating officer of MGM Resorts International.

The Resort Association is the Nevada casino industry's largest trade group, which also monitors government and regulatory activities that concern gaming.
