On the final day of G2E, that took place yesterday, Rahul Sood addressed the gaming industry, encouraging it to think outside of the box in order to engage with younger generations.

Sood founded the company Unikrn, the most comprehensive sports book for eSports. The eSports industry is the worldwide sensation of competitive video gaming, and Sood provided casino executives a glimpse into the market that is projected to produce USD 1.81B in annual gambling revenue by 2020.

Unikrn's founder presented how Unikrn has created a legitimate betting space for eSports - in partnership with Australian gaming operator Tabcorp - that regulates its users to prevent underage or problem gaming. He detailed the various ways eSports has already become mainstream including shoe endorsement deals for its top professional athletes and sold-out events at Madison Square Garden.

Additionally, Sood previewed incredible realities coming soon, including Ivy League Schools offering scholarships to eSports athletes. Unikrn has existed for less than a year, and has already garnered USD 10M in funding from prominent investors such as Mark Cuban and Ashton Kutcher.

He concluded by asserting that the gaming industry should not try to fight against eSports, but should rather get into the space and make it even more legitimate.
