Ukraine's Ministry of Justice have confirmed participation of Natalia Sevostianova, First Deputy Minister, in the capacity of a speaker at the Game ON Conference.

Natalia Sevostianova will open the second day of the Conference, which will be held on 13-14 of October in Kyiv, with an outline of the legislative prerequisites by the government on the way to legalising and bringing gambling back to Ukraine. She will also participate as a panellist in a press conference on the eve of the two-day industry event.

“Bringing gambling back to Ukraine will only make sense once a firm legislative foundation has been laid. Such legislation has to be prepared in accordance with the best international practices, while taking into account unique circumstances of the gaming industry in Ukraine. Ministry of Justice is happy to contribute to such a pivotal event and listen to the combined voice of experts from the gambling community,” said Natalia Sevostianova.

The Game ON Conference will review currently existing legislative initiatives and will ultimately set out a roadmap for how new legislation, that meets high international standards, can be written and introduced in Ukraine. Such legislation, regulating all aspects of the gambling industry, will adopt a comprehensive approach to reflect interests of the government, operators, suppliers, equipment importers and investors. It will also look into providing an additional impetus for the development of the tourist and related service industries.

Glyn Thomas, co-owner of ACE Publishing Ltd., organizer of Game ON, remarked: “The Conference will bring together a unique think-tank of specialists from all spheres of the industry – from big names in casino operation, sports betting companies and online gaming platforms to, quite importantly, experienced lawmakers and legislative consultants. The Conference will start constructive and open dialog with the government on the way to a reformed and transparent gambling industry that is free from corruption and regulated by proven international guidelines. A properly functioning gaming industry will go far beyond tax contribution, encouraging investment and providing stimuli for the development of related industries and the economy at large.”
