Ukraine's Ministry of Justice supports legislative initiatives of Game ON

Natalia Sevostianova will open the second day of the Conference, which will be held on 13-14 of October in Kyiv, with an outline of the legislative prerequisites by the government on the way to legalising and bringing gambling back to Ukraine. She will also participate as a panellist in a press conference on the eve of the two-day industry event.

“Bringing gambling back to Ukraine will only make sense once a firm legislative foundation has been laid. Such legislation has to be prepared in accordance with the best international practices, while taking into account unique circumstances of the gaming industry in Ukraine. Ministry of Justice is happy to contribute to such a pivotal event and listen to the combined voice of experts from the gambling community,” said Natalia Sevostianova.

The Game ON Conference will review currently existing legislative initiatives and will ultimately set out a roadmap for how new legislation, that meets high international standards, can be written and introduced in Ukraine. Such legislation, regulating all aspects of the gambling industry, will adopt a comprehensive approach to reflect interests of the government, operators, suppliers, equipment importers and investors. It will also look into providing an additional impetus for the development of the tourist and related service industries.
