Innovative Technology taps new Technical Support Engineer, Asia Pacific

Originally from Hong Kong, Chiu immigrated to Australia to attend high school and has held customer support roles all of his working life. Most recently, Chiu held a senior role in a national POS Company where he was responsible for remote support in Queensland.

Commenting on his appointment Chiu said, “As Customer Support Engineer my main focus will be providing face to face training with key customers across the Asia-Pacific area and answering technical questions. When I joined ITL I spent a week with colleagues at the UK head office meeting the team and gaining vital product knowledge to ensure I can provide local support to customers in my area.”

Chiu has been with the company almost 4 months now and technical support colleagues Andy Bassam and John Wade have both been out to Australia for joint customer visits and further technical training.

Chiu continued, “Since my appointment at ITL, I have had meetings with customer’s right across the Asia Pacific area. I am thoroughly enjoying my time so far with ITL and am looking forward to the many challenges that lie ahead. The opening of ITL’s Asia Pacific office shows our commitment to the region and ensures that we can provide the best technical support possible.”

Customer Support Manager, Andy Bassam concluded, “Over the last year we have significantly strengthened our Technical Support Teams across the world to ensure we provide the highest level of service and support to global customers everywhere. Mark will work with our UK based Technical Support Team and Asia Pacific Sales Director Kerry Cowan to ensure our Asia Pacific customer base is fully supported from implementation through to service and repair”.
