Caesars Interactive Entertainment (CIE) is the first operator to offer Nevada online poker players the possibility to make deposits to and withdrawals from WSOP.com by using PayPal.

CIE would be adding the Paypal option to its New Jersey-licensed online gambling sites – including WSOP.com, CaesarsCasino.com and HarrahsCasino.com – at some point next week. It’s unknown if 888 Holdings, CIE’s New Jersey platform partner, will launch its own Paypal option at the same time.

Paypal announced last year that it intended to return to the US online gambling market after years of refusing to process gambling transactions for fear of violating the 2006 Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act. Optimal Payments’ Neteller brand stopped serving US gamblers in 2007 after its former owners were arrested and forced to pay $136m in penalties, but Neteller has also made its US return.
