Coral has signed a social media agreement with ex Strictly dancer James Jordan for the duration of the latest season of the BBC’s popular show, Strictly Come Dancing.

A former professional dancer on the show and one of its most outspoken, James will join Coral to tweet in the lead up to each program, promoting Coral odds but also imparting his wit and wisdom on the week’s proceedings.

Tania Seif, Head of Social Media for Coral commented, “Social media conversation involving Coral and novelty betting peaks from September through to Christmas when the reality TV shows such as Strictly, XFactor and I’m a Celebrity are broadcast. In 2014 social conversation around reality TV and novelty betting formed 14.5% of our total brand conversation so there’s certainly an appetite among our community for this type of content marketing.”

Seif continued, “Everyone has an opinion but with James Jordan, he’s speaking from experience as he clocked up 11 series as a leading professional on Strictly Come Dancing, as well as a stint on Celebrity Big Brother.  James is fearless when it comes to telling us what he thinks, that’s why James will be a fantastic addition to Coral’s social media team this autumn.”

James Jordan commented, “I like a bit of banter on twitter so this is the perfect partnership for me.  Obviously, I have my favourite but each week I will also be sharing Coral’s favourites along with the partnerships that are odds on for the chop.”
