MGT Gaming, a subsidiary of MGT Capital Investments, announced that it has settled its long legal dispute with Aruze Gaming America.

The companies, along with Aruze affiliates, will end all related proceedings in the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Litigation in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi, in which MGT Gaming alleged infringement of US Patent Nos. 7,892,088 and 8,500,554 by Aruze Gaming America’s Paradise Fishing and Amazon Fishing, will be dismissed with prejudice.

Motions will also be filed by both companies to terminate the Inter Partes Reviews filed by the Aruze entities with the United States Patent Trial and Appeal Board involving the same MGT patents.

The patents referred to a gaming system in which a bonus game is played on an interactive display. MGT also filed patent infringement lawsuits against WMS Gaming for its products Battleship, Star Trek Battle Stations, Monopoly Bigger Event and Castle King, which was subsequently dropped.
