Nektan granted remote betting license in Ireland
The company said that it had successfully gained approval for the license, in accordance with new regulations which came into effect on August 1st.

Ireland’s Betting (Amendment) Act 2015 was signed into earlier this year in March, updating and extending the country’s regulatory regime in relation to bookmakers licenses, as provided for in the Betting Act 1931, to include remote betting operators who accept bets from Irish customers.
All remote bookmaker’s and remote betting intermediaries providing betting services to customers in Ireland will be required to hold a license to provide such services.
Shares in Nektan plc were trading at 140.00 pence per share in London this morning following the announcement.
