Wright was most recently the vice president and general manager of Green Valley Ranch Resort, a company with Station Casinos in Las Vegas. He also served as vice president and general manager of Boulder Station and Sunset Station — both in Las Vegas and also part of Station Casinos. Additionally, he was a senior vice president of operations in the Station Casino's corporate office.
He entered the gaming industry with Caesar's Entertainment and stayed with the company for 19 years, serving in various roles at multiple gaming hotels. He started at the Flamingo Hilton Las Vegas, then worked at the Flamingo Hilton Reno and the Reno Hilton.
He also worked at Bally's Las Vegas, where he was the vice president of hotel operations. He was the vice president and general manager of Caesar's Grand Gulfport Casino in Gulfport, Mississippi before the Caesar's merged with Harrah's Entertainment in 2005.
Wright joined Harrah's Entertainment in 2005 as senior vice president and general manager of the Grand Biloxi. He then became the senior vice president and general manager at Harrah's Horseshoe and Sheraton Casino Hotels in Tunica, Mississippi, before he was promoted to the regional president of the mid-South region for Harrah's Corp. in 2006.
Wright grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel Administration from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and an MBA degree from the University of Nevada, Reno.
