Spanish gambling regulator La Dirección General de Ordenación del Juego (DGOJ)  will begin its second granting of general licenses for new operators or existing licensees wanting to expand their offer.

Nineteen operators have applied for a total of 27 general gambling licenses, the DGOJ confirmed.  12 of those applications do not presently hold a licence and constitute a total of 20 general licence applications.

Along with the applications for general gambling licenses, 33 requests were received relating to “unique applications”, of which 30 are from previously unlicensed operators.

22 existing licensees have applied for 20 additional licensing awards to offer slot games in the Spanish market.

The DGOJ said it will notify applicants whether their applications have been successful on June 2, 2015 provided all conditions have been met.
