Rank Group appoints Bell as senior independent director
Bell, who will also become a member of Rank’s audit committee, has more than 20 years’ experience in the betting and gaming industry.
Bell in 1994 was named managing director of Ladbrokes Worldwide and in 2004 was appointed chief executive of the re-named Ladbrokes PLC – a role he held until May 2010.
He is currently non-executive chairman of AIM-listed companies XLMedia and TechFinancials, while also serving as a non-executive director of Spirit Pub Company and senior independent director of Quintain Estates & Development.
In addition, Bell is a board member of the Responsible Gambling Strategy Board, which advises the Gambling Commission and the UK government on policy and strategy in the gaming sector.
