The Remote Gambling Association (RGA), the largest trade association for remote gambling operators in the world, has announced two new appointments.

Paul Morris, former remote gambling lead at the British Gambling Commission, joins the RGA as Director of Regulatory Affairs. On 1 August he will be joined by Pierre Tournier, who will take up the role of Director of Government Relations.

Paul previously led remote gambling policy and strategy at the Gambling Commission, where he spent eight years. He was also a member of the GREF[1] Board and chaired its eGambling working group and was secretary to the IAGR[2] eGambling working group.

Pierre is currently with Instinctif Partners which he joined in 2010. Since that time he has acted as a consultant for the RGA and has been leading its work in Brussels. Pierre has previously worked as a legal assistant at UCD in Dublin. Pierre holds a LLM in European Law from UCD and a BA in Law from the University of Toulouse.

Clive Hawkswood, CEO said, “We are delighted that Paul and Pierre are joining the RGA. They are both very much known quantities and it would be hard to find anyone better qualified for these roles. They will be a huge asset for the industry.”

Commenting on their appointments, Paul said, “I am delighted to be joining the Remote Gambling Association, it has an excellent reputation among the industry and regulators. I am looking forward to working with members to tackle the common challenges that the remote gambling industry face.

Pierre said, “I have worked closely with the RGA for several years and look forward to building on that existing relationship. More and more jurisdictions are introducing licensing regimes for online gambling and together with the rest of the RGA team I know we can be a constructive influence.”
