UK bookmaker Ladbrokes has confirmed the appointment of Andrew Bagguley as managing director of digital, the position recently vacated by chief executive officer Jim Mullen.

Bagguley first joined Ladbrokes in January last year and has been serving as the bookmaker’s director of mobile and devices.

He will now assume the title of managing director of Ladbrokes’ digital arm, a role that had been vacant since Mullen stepped aside to assume the position of chief executive officer last month.

Prior to his time with Ladbrokes, Bagguley spent just under three years with Deutsche Telekom, where he served as a group product management consultant.

Bagguley has also enjoyed spells with various other telecommunication outfits such as Lebara Mobile, the Vodafone Services Group and T-Mobile International.

His other work has included roles with the likes of Guardian News & Media, New International and Intergaph.
