Another convenience store with slot machines is set to open in central New York.
The Oneida Indian Nation says a Sav-on location near its Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona will offer 21 cash slot machines beginning Monday. The upstate New York tribe first installed slot machines in November at one of its convenience stores in nearby Canastota.
The Oneidas also have plans to open a new $20 million, 67,000-square-foot casino in the Village of Chittenango just east of Syracuse. The Yellow Brick Road Casino will feature more than 430 slot machines, a 500 seat bingo hall, and general store.
