Predictions that competition from neighbouring states could hurt Connecticut's casinos are estimated at a possible USD 703M a year, the Hartford Courant reported.

The estimates were made in a new report commissioned by the Mohegan and Mashantucket Pequot tribes, the report said.

The tribes, who own the Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods, want legislation that would see them permitted to operate new casinos to offset the impact of impending casinos in New York and Massachusetts, according to the Hartford Courant report.
