Caesars executive is honored for corporate, social responsibility

The public relations industry’s top publication has named Caesars Entertainment Corp. Executive Vice President Jan Jones Blackhurst as the “CSR Professional of the Year” for leading the casino company’s efforts in diversity, social and environmental responsibility, and philanthropy. PR News awarded the honor to Jones Blackhurst earlier this month.
The award honored the executive who best led corporate and social responsibility efforts for their company.
She oversees communication, government relations and corporate responsibility for Caesars. The finalists for the award included executives from McDonald’s Corp., Verizon, and Time Warner Cable.
Jones Blackhurst was a former two-term mayor of Las Vegas before joining Caesars. “I am proud to be a part of an organization that values social responsibility and sustainability and look forward to continuing the great work,” Jones Blackhurst said.
