New Jersey online poker drops 34.2%
The combined online poker revenue of January and February of this year was $4,345,081, down from the January-February total last year of US$ 6,551,474. Poker increasingly represents a tiny fraction of overall I-gaming win.
Poker networks from Borgata/PartyPoker and Caesars/888 are the players in the shrinking New Jersey Internet poker market. Two poker sites have already closed in the Garden State.
Overall online gaming revenue was US$ 10,404,367 during February 2015, a slight increase from the previous February’s US$ 10,307,086. Other web casino games are far more successful for the casinos than poker and this trend shows little signs of abating.
When combined with brick-and-mortar revenue, Atlantic City won US$ 178,445,634 in February, a drop of 14.8 percent compared to February 2014’s US$ 209,424,847.
Even if you discount all the brick-and-mortar and online operators that have closed in the time frame, overall gaming win dropped 1.9 percent year-over-year.
