Scientific Games Corporation has announced that a player at The M Resort Spa Casino in Las Vegas won a USD 890,863.27 jackpot on a WMS Monopoly Luxury Diamonds slot machine on February 15.

This jackpot marks the significant milestone of more than US$ 200 million won on WMS machines since its first wide-area progressive (WAP) installation in 2004.

It was a winning week with three more lucky players winning big on WMS machines at three casinos: Cher-Ae Heights Casino in Trinidad, California, Casino Del Sol Resort in Tucson, Arizona, and FireKeepers Casino Hotel in Battle Creek, Michigan. Together the four jackpots total over US$ 1.6 million won on WMS games in a week, and the grand total of jackpots awarded by WMS since 2004 grew to over US$ 200 million with 330 jackpots.

Dean Ehrlich, Senior Vice President of Global Gaming Operations, said: “It is thrilling to be a part of so many jackpot wins in such a short period of time. Congratulations to all of the winners! We are also very proud to have reached the momentous landmark of US$ 200 million in jackpot awards and greatly look forward to continuing to add to that number.”

The first jackpot on a WMS wide-area progressive was on October 16, 2004, at the Oneida Casino in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The casino patron won US$ 221,503.71 on a WMS Monopoly Sevens game.
