NIGA announces keynote speaker for Indian Gaming 2015

The National Indian Gaming Association (NIGA) has announced that Kevin K. Washburn, Assistant Secretary, Indian Affairs, Department of Interior, will deliver the keynote address on Wednesday, April 1, at 9 am during Indian Gaming 2015.

The National Indian Gaming Association (NIGA) has announced that Kevin K. Washburn, Assistant Secretary, Indian Affairs, Department of Interior, will deliver the keynote address on Wednesday, April 1, at 9 am during Indian Gaming 2015.

Indian Gaming 2015 will take place March 30-April 2, 2015 at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, CA.  

Part of the new, improved conference program, this is one of two powerful keynote addresses that will be part of the 30th anniversary edition.

Kevin K. Washburn, an enrolled member of the Chickasaw Nation, was nominated by President Obama and unanimously confirmed by the United States Senate as the 12th Assistant Secretary- Indian Affairs. In addition to carrying out the Department's trust responsibilities regarding the management of tribal and individual Indian trust lands and assets, the Assistant Secretary is responsible for promoting the self-determination and economic self-sufficiency of the nation's 566 federally recognized American Indian and Alaska Native tribes and their approximately two million enrolled members.
