He said that this time Macau will need to look at new customer bases and consider moving more towards tourism and entertainment, instead of relying on Chinese gamblers so heavily, something the Chinese President Xi Jinping said on a visit to the world’s largest gambling hub recently.
Mr Chow also pointed out that Chinese operators would fair better than overseas operators as they have stockpiled large sums of cash as opposed to foreign operators and can see out the downturn better.
