Apollo Entertainment Limited has had two email advertisements scrutinized following complaints of misleading advertising relating to the wording used in a Palace Casino and UK Casino Club promotion.

The company pinned the blame on one of its affiliates saying, “they were using using an automated mailing system which was thought to have been decommissioned in 2009”.

The UK Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) upheld the complaints ruling that the promotion may not be used in its current form again.

In related news, two complaints received regarding a T.V. ad for PT Entertainment Services’ Winner Bingo operation challenged whether the ad linked gambling to seduction and sexual success.

The ASA ruled that the ad was an over-the-top initiative that did not breach any codes and may continue to be aired in its current form.
