The event, attended by representatives from the state’s growing manufacturing industry, was highlighted by an official “Buy from Georgia” proclamation from Governor Deal.
John Schulz, Senior Vice President of Global Instant Products for Scientific Games, said, “As a global manufacturer of one of the world’s most popular consumer products, Scientific Games’ largest lottery manufacturing and technology operation is based right here in Alpharetta, Georgia. Georgia Manufacturing Day brings us all together to share information on technology, manufacturing best practices and the great workforce we have here in Georgia. Governor Deal’s ‘Buy from Georgia’ proclamation demonstrates a true commitment to the manufacturing companies in the state.”
Georgia Manufacturing Day was presented by the Georgia Manufacturing Alliance, a statewide organization dedicated to support, promote and grow Georgia manufacturing. Scientific Games was among 70 companies in attendance, including The Coca-Cola Company, PNC Bank, Hitachi Automotive Systems Americas, Inc. and the Environmental Protection Agency.
