Former American Gaming Association CEO Frank Fahrenkopf Jr. has joined San Jose, California-based Joingo as a strategic adviser to the mobile gaming company.

Fahrenkopf, who retired from the Washington, D.C., trade organization after 19 years at the helm, will advise Joingo’s leadership as the technology company gains further inroads into the convergence of mobile technology and casino gaming.

A former chairman of the Republican National Committee and the co-chairman of the Commission on Presidential Debates, Fahrenkopf said there is significant potential for the company.

“Mobile is positioned to make an indelible impact on the casino gaming industry, particularly as the legalization of online wagering is being examined,” Fahrenkopf said.
