How did SafeCharge’s participation at the recent ICE edition pan out?
We had a huge presence at ICE this year as we had a large 200m² stand that highlighted our diverse solutions. A contingency of payment and risk experts on hand were key sponsors of the event and had a speaking opportunity. Our booth was always buzzing with both current and potential clients interested in finding out more about our solutions. We had a lot of positive feedback and look forward to next year's event!
Which products generated the most interest at your booth?
We showcased a number of products, however our new prepaid card solutions created significant interest at the event.
Highlights of the event were the interesting people we got to meet, i.e. media, customers, suppliers and industry experts. We also held key mini-events at our stand for investors and media.
What are the brand’s strategies for 2015?
From a technology perspective, the company is continuously advancing online payments technologies via our extensive R&D team and creating new solutions. We believe that mobile will have a stronger presence in the market so will work to enhance our current solution. Courses and updates in the marketplace are always key for development and growth.
From a market perspective, the ongoing branding and positioning of the company's products and expertise is key to keeping and building our current footprint in the marketplace.
What are the company's future plans to promote consolidation and expansion in global markets?
Earlier this year we acquired two companies, CreditGuard and 3V. The significance of acquiring 3V is that it will become the foundation of SafeCharge’s card issuing activities through its new Issuing Division, accelerating the Group’s entry into this rapidly growing sector.
The acquisition of CreditGuard marks a further milestone in the execution of SafeCharge’s strategic plan aimed at entering new and rapidly growing markets and sectors bringing with it a portfolio of clients from sectors including travel, insurance, telecoms and government.
We are always searching for opportunities with potential technology and strategic partners.
What are your thoughts on the current state of the gaming industry today? What changes would you implement to make the industry more efficient?
The online gaming industry has grown significantly in the past few years. It has become more mobile as there is a need to cater to the hyper-dynamic world where people are constantly on the go, need instant gratification in an easy and secure manner. We will continue to work on solutions that cater for this change.
