(UK, exclusive Yogonet.com).- Craig Stapleton, Advantech Innocore's Product Director, was pleased with the success achieved by the company at ICE 2015. “We had more meetings and took away more follow up action and leads than ever before,” he said, in dialogue with Yogonet.com. He also talked about the brand strategies for the current year and gave his view towards the gaming sector in general.

How did Advantech Innocore's participation at the recent ICE edition pan out?

The ICE 2015 tradeshow was a huge success for Advantech Innocore. We had more meetings and took away more follow up actions and leads than ever before. As usual the show also provided a great venue to keep in touch with our existing customers and show them our latest computer and display products for gaming.

Which were the products that generated the most public interest at your booth?

There was a lot of customer interest in the new products on show, especially the DPX-S435, DPX-S1435 and DPX-E130. We also had a lot of interest in the ever expanding range of display products and capabilities from Advantech Display Solutions (ADS) a new product division formed when GPEG UK joined Advantech last year. ADS brings our gaming industry customers specialized monitor and display solutions.

The DPX-S435 is the first Intel Xeon capable single board integrated solution with a full feature set of I/O, COMs, storage and advanced security designed specifically for the Gaming Industry. The DPX-S1435 extends the popular DPX-S series range being a full system level computer platform with custom logic box enclosure and incorporating the high performance DPX-S435 CPU board.

The DPX-E130 is a complete gaming solution designed specifically for the revised Italian AWP3 regulations. The system, based on the AMD G-Series embedded chipset, is designed to be low power, high performance with a 5 year life cycle all at a very competitive price. Although designed primarily for the Italian gaming market, we are finding that the product’s feature set and low cost make it ideal for other markets where key requirements are similar - low cost and mid-level performance with robust reliability and security features.

What are the brand’s strategies for 2015?

Our strategies for 2015 are to continue to develop cutting edge computing platforms for the casino gaming industry and to support those products worldwide. The company also continues to work closely with the larger manufacturers in the gaming industry to develop custom products leveraging Advantech’s knowledge and resources such as our in house manufacturing plant, global logistics and service centers as well as a leading edge product roadmap. In addition, we are adding to our portfolio of products with offerings such as the industrial monitor solutions, graphics cards, solid state storage devices so that customers can confidently build their systems based on the quality and dependability of Advantech.

What are the company's future plans to promote consolidation and expansion of games and systems in global markets?

We see the consolidation of the larger gaming equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in the industry, especially in North America, as an advantage for Advantech because the larger global conglomerates that now exist require suppliers with similar resources, corporate size, and global foot print to properly support their business. So as the newly merged gaming machine manufacturers consolidate their supplier bases they are looking to us to provide more of their technology products. Advantech-Innocore is able to meet the most demanding requirements of our customers in the gaming industry.

In addition to working with the larger OEM customers, Advantech Innocore continues to offer our standard product range of field-proven off- the- shelf gaming platforms and the supporting software. We have a strong roadmap for new products which allow small and medium size OEM companies to pick our hardware and get to market quickly with their new products even in the most strictly regulated markets. Our standard product range lowers the barriers for entry into the regulated casino market by providing proven platforms and support and is ideal for new OEMs in existing or new markets.

What are your thoughts on the current state of the gaming industry today? What changes would you implement to make the industry more efficient?

Advantech-Innocore brings to its customers the combined strengths of the largest industrial computer company (in the form of the US$ 1 billion Advantech Group) together with over 13 years’ experience in gaming. Advantech-Innocore is now the leading global gaming supplier. Therefore we can partner with gaming OEMs, leveraging Advantech’s low cost basis and economies of scale to give them the most cost effective and up to date technology products. This partnering is becoming more and more important with the consolidation among OEMs. We are pleased to be able to play a growing role in the evolving gaming industry.
