(UK, exclusive Yogonet).- After an excellent opening in terms of number of exhibitors and visitors, ICE yesterday once again cemented its role as the greatest international event for the gaming industry. What's more, although it brought together, as always the main providers of slots and equipment, this year also saw an overwhelmingly wide offering of mobile devices and remote betting without a doubt the “new big stars of the sector."

Yogonet visited the London ExCeL facilities, where around 550 companies from 60 countries showcased their products and future innovations. In this sense, what seemed to be just a growing trend a few years ago, today has become a whole new line of business that not only attracts small entrepreneurs, but also the main international providers of the industry.

Yesterday afternoon, the tablets and mobile phones, as well as remote betting reigned in London as never before. In fact, The official brochure of ICE pointed out on its cover that, although the internet revolution at this trade this show started out only a few years before, the 2015 version of the event offers an amazing abundance of online content.

From among the current 550 exhibitors, at least 220 companies are completely or partially involved in research and development for remote gaming, representing a 40% of the praticipants, a phenomenon that threatens to dethrone traditional slots from the top spot on the podium.

Kate Chambers, Clarion Portfolio Director, pointed that “although the segment of providers for traditional casinos has remained constant, and this year maintains its place of privilege at the show, the current expansion clearly responds to the remote betting market, via Internet or other connection forms, through tablets and cell phones.”

The data is relevant if we consider that we are talking about the largest gaming exhibition worldwide (it currently occupies 30 of the 44 halls of the modern Excel London Convention Center), and expects to receive 25,000 executives from all over the world during three days of intense work.

“We continue to be a trade show mainly for casinos, and that is reflected in the exhibition – added Chambers- but we are witnessing rapid growth in public affluence related to remote betting. The “marriage” between traditional casino operations and Internet betting is is in full-blown mode now, and this week we will see if this relationship will be finally strengthened.”

However, beyond the “online revolution,” ICE also offers this year an unmatched business frame for all  betting segments. Casinos, lotteries, bingos, sportsbooks among other  services gather in which will surely be its best edition ever. In short, ICE has solidified its fame as the “must-attend” event with the most elegant and professional show worldwide.
