(US).- Kansas Lottery's report to the Legislature Tuesday shows sales of lottery tickets totaled USD 245.7 M last year. That is the second-highest amount in the 27-year history of the lottery, but revenue was down at two of the state's three casinos. About half of the money from ticket sales was paid out as prizes. The lottery transferred USD 74.3 M to the state after paying commissions to retailers.
However, revenue declined at the Kansas Star Casino in Mulvane and the Boot Hill Casino in Dodge City. The Hollywood Casino in Kansas City, Kansas, was the only casino to report an uptick in revenues.
