Bwin axes Sportster app

(UK).- bwin.party's digital entertainment-backed Sportster Bet and Win Facebook app has been axed just four months after its launch. According to an announcement by the firm, Bwin will shutter Sportster on January 30, 2015 but declined to offer any further explanation.
It is surmised that the venture has been pulled following bwin’s intention to no longer invest in its social gaming arm WIN which is currently up for sale.
The app was developed as a joint venture with Nordeus and soft launched in Beta at the end of September 2014.
