(US, exclusive Yogonet-com).- Mark Claxton was recently appointed as Slots Producer and head of the in-house slots production team at Plumbee. Yogonet.com had a chance to speak with him about his new role and slots marketing strategies. “ I have noted many gaps in the slot market in social gaming and in the coming year these gaps will be filled,” he commented.

Why did you decide to join Plumbee?

Having played Mirrorball Slots since it launched, I was very aware of the company and the quality apps and content they can deliver. I felt that the social gaming market was a rapidly growing and exciting place to be in. With my experience within the casino industry I can filter this down into the company and create some amazing slots and help improve the players' Mirrorball Slots entire experience.

What is your role as Slots Producer?

My role as Slots Producer means I am in charge of Plumbee’s slot vision. I will be leading a strong slots team and conceptualizing lots of innovative and fun ways to play slots. If there are any questions about the slots artwork, sounds, game flow, and math – I am the guy to come to for help. I am also in charge of looking after Plumbee’s third-party slots that will be published in Mirrorball app. Any slot that comes through Plumbee has to come through my desk by me first.

What makes a slot a top performing title?

A top performing slot will bring players back again and again. If a slot has the right mix of entertainment, excitement, a good math balance and good theme then the slot stands a very good chance of being a top performer. There are a lot of little things on slot machines that can make big differences to the player – you will find that all the top performing slots contain such things (suspense, announcements, celebrations and so forth)

What do customers wants? How do you know this? Do you have any marketing/research strategies?

The customer ultimately wants engagement and to have a good time while playing their slot machine. Of course when a player is on a slot machine, they will also want to be winning money or coins too. There are various research strategies used, ranging from focus groups to individual player feedback on casino-based forums on the internet. Listening to what the customer wants can often lead to great things.

What can you do to differentiate your games with so much competition in the market?

There is a lot of competition out there but the upcoming Plumbee slots will be real AAA titles - absolute stand-out slots in terms of visual presentation, exciting audio, engaging feature games and math models. As I have been working in the industry since 2003, this wealth of experience of creating slots will really make the difference between Plumbee slots and our competition.

Can you give us the inside scoop on something about your 2015 strategies or launchings?

During 2015 you will see a frequent stream of high quality, fun-to-play slot machines within Mirrorball Slots. This will combine player favorites, fresh new themes and also some hugely innovative, never-before-seen slot machine designs. I have noted many gaps in the slot market in social gaming and in the coming year these gaps will be filled.
