A consultation on the regulations accompanying the new law closes on January 16.
The bill is expected to become law immediately, and will provide for a single operator to receive a 30-year license to build and operate a casino in the resort of its choice. The first fifteen years of the license guarantees a monopoly.
The operator will be allowed to build two additional casinos in other locations, but each must include facilities for 100 table games and 1,000 slot machines and provide hotel accommodation with at least 500 bedrooms.
