(Macau).- According to a variety of Macau's newspapers, up to fifty VIP gaming rooms could be shuttered as a result of the lack of high rollers along with the fact that many of the junket operators are finding it increasingly difficult to collect outstanding debts from gamblers.

Over the past three years, just over 100 VIP rooms have been created to cater to the very rich and heavy players known as “whales” , but with the continued clamp down in mainland China by President Xi against high level corruption, many of the high value gamblers have steered away from Macau.
