(US).- Sac and Fox Casino will temporarily reduce its overnight hours starting Monday due to building renovations. Bruce McClure, general manager for the casino, said that the gaming area will close from 2 to 8 a.m. on weekdays starting Monday, though it still will have late night hours on the weekend. “I want to do some deep cleaning, and I don’t want to do it in front of the guests,” he said.

Few people choose to play in the casino between 2 and 8 a.m., McClure said, so he thought it would be most convenient for customers if work was confined to those hours instead of having equipment in use while the casino is open.

The cleaning will include removing older wallpaper and painting the walls, replacing some lighting as well as cleaning the carpets and ceiling, McClure said. They also will relocate some slot machines and build a wall near the player’s club area to create a focal point for contests and promotional events, he said.

The plan is to tackle one small area of the casino step by step and gradually freshen up the whole interior over time, McClure said. “The upcoming renovations will support our brand, to be the cleanest and friendliest place to play,” he said.
