“We can say with certainty that we achieved our goals in 2014”

(US, exclusive Yogonet.com).- Maurilio Silva, Ortiz Gaming President, granted an interview with Yogonet.com in which he discussed his firm’s performance in 2014 and its objectives for next year. “Our goals for 2015 are to continue to expand and exceed the levels for which we have set in 2014,” Silva assured.

What difficulties have you experienced in the global gaming industry this year? What is your opinion as a manufacturer? Do you have any feedback on behalf of main operators?
Ortiz Gaming concluded 2013 with great success, and a goal of continuing that success through expansion in multiple countries, as well as solidifying our position in the countries in which we already held a strong presence. This was the challenge we set for our company and now looking back on 2014, I can say with certainty that we achieved our goals. Ortiz Gaming in 2014 became one of the top gaming manufacturers, as well as the most important Bingo manufacturer in North America, while continuing to be a leader in the gaming industry internationally. This year has been excellent and we are fortunate to have not come across any obstacles. We are proud of our success, and excited for the feedback we have received over the past year from the industry.

What product had the best performance in sales? Why? Was there any change regarding the previous years?
In 2014, Ortiz Gaming featured the Ortiz Standard, which redefines standard slot floor metrics. This concept is available exclusively on all of our products and allows casinos to increase revenue, win-per-unit, floor average expectations and time-in-chair. Since featuring the Ortiz Standard we have seen an increased demand for all of our products.

Our newest cabinet O-Circle, which was launched during G2E this year, has also made top news in the industry. The O-Circle cabinet immerses players in the gaming experience with a 42” screen which curves around the player. The O-Circle cabinet and the O-Future cabinet, which were launched in 2013, have been our top in-demand cabinets this year and they prove that our constant strive for innovation and technology has been the key to our success year over year.

What are your plans for 2015? What are the main challenges for you as a company and for the industry in general?
Our goals for 2015 are to continue to expand and exceed the levels for which we have set in 2014. For the first quarter, we will continue to deliver our newest products like O-Circle, and new games which were launched near the end of 2014 at G2E. We are forecasting an increase in the adoption of the Ortiz Standard, as it is currently being called the “solution” in the market. Ortiz Gaming’s philosophy is to continue to deliver the most recent technology and advancements to provide entertainment and happiness to players through our products, while adding to the business growth of our clients; for this reason, we are always working on creating gaming products which add value to our clients and the gaming industry.
