With these specific statistics, we can see that SAGSE Latin America is the biggest show for the region. Besides having a strong presence from members of the gaming industry, this show was a year full of exclusive events for the sector. For example, the first edition of SAGSE University, the JCM Training and the Global Gaming Woman Latam.
"If there is something that should be highlighted, unlike other editions, it is the market´s gratitude to the exhibitors who were part of SAGSE (especially the local operators). The general comment was about the joy, satisfaction and sense of support that was felt, because the companies that took part of SAGSE Latin America 2014 are always with the operators in both the good as well as in the bad times. We musto highlight that, nowadays, Argentina has the largest daily net winnings of all Latin America (an average of US$ 200/250). Its only disadvantage are the importation difficulties, not the games," Alan Burak, General Manager of SAGSE. explained.
After several decades of Argentinean operators giving, literally, considerable business to various international companies, and during a temporary and circumstantial situation such as the one related to the difficulties with the import restrictions in Argentina, being present at SAGSE was the best strategic decision for the short, medium and large term, because, when the import restrictions are lifted again soon, the market will remember those who were present and those who decided not to invest in it.
"SAGSE is the most important market of the region. This is a fact and it will always be like that. This year, we saw a drop in attendance, but it had excellent quality, so SAGSE exceeded its expectations, which means overcoming the crisis," he added.
"Exhibitors could agree that on several sales with bordering countries, with an existing demand in a latent Argentinean market that promises to have a rebound in the next years.
Argentinean operators showed their unconditional support for this event, and the Costa Salguero Conventions Center´s corridors have been seen full of a great number of visitors all the time. In fact, once the closing ceremony of the trade show was wrapped up, visitors remained another hour ," Burak pointed out.
“Certificates of Good Business Health” awarded
This concept, which is already part of the philosophy and the culture of this sector, means that the exhibiting companies, which are present annually at SAGSE, demonstrate that they are in very good condition to meet their businesses with professionalism, confidence and credibility. This certificate was delivered by SAGSE, but it was in the name of all the operators of this sector.
GGW Latam
Janine Roth from IGT, was the key note speaker of this event. This important event saw record attendance.. This year, 98 international women being professionals, gaming operators and manufacturers registered to attend this event. All the women, who are part of the gaming ecosystem, enjoyed coming together during lunch time) and sharing their stories and anecdotes. It should be pointed out that, having such a leading light as Ms. Janine Roth was a source of inspiration for many of them.
“Women contribute with something unique. They are able to do multiple tasks, they show themselves very cooperative and they are always ready to confront a challenge. I understand that they have a different view (in comparison with men) for solving problems; they deal with them with creativity and they solve them in a different way. This works well at the time of creating and leading a teamwork”, commented the splendid Janine Roth, IGT Vice President for Latin America.
