(Netherlands / Malta).- Netherlands gambling regulator Kansspelautoriteit and the Malta Lotteries and Gaming Authority have entered into a letter of intent that will ultimately become a final memorandum of understanding once the Dutch draft bill for remote gaming becomes legislation.

The bodies intend to cooperate in terms of the development of uniform legislation and information exchange with the Kansspelautoriteit saying it views Malta as an important partner in terms of the number of international gaming firms who have established the jurisdiction as their base.

“This cooperation contributes to better regulation of the international gaming industry specifically in terms of remote gambling,” Marja Appelman, director of the Kansspelauthoriteit said.
