Spanish online gaming revenue grows in Q3

(Spain).- Spanish gambling regulator General Management of the Order of the Game (DGOJ) released online 3Q figures: revenue amounted to USD 77.6 M, which represents a year-on-year increase of 19 percent, due to the impact of this year’s FIFA World Cup.

 

Online sportsbooks operating in the Spanish market were responsible for 54% of this total having generated 33.7 million euros in the period, up 35% on the previous year and a rise of 6% on the second quarter of 2014. Elsewhere, poker revenue amounted to 17.2 million euros, which represents a year-on-year growth of 9% and a jump of 12% in comparison with Q2 of this year.

Revenue from online casinos in Spain totaled 8.5 million euros in the third quarter, which is 5% higher than in the same period last year but 7% lower than the amount generated in the second quarter of this year.
