Have you met your expectations at SAGSE?
TBG was thrilled to exhibit at SAGSE Buenos Aires for the first time this year. We visited the show a few times previously and this year we decided it was time to exhibit. TBG is looking to expand outside the Australasian and North American regions where we are already well-established, and took this opportunity to learn more about the LATAM (Latin American) region. During the show we approached many of the other exhibitors to learn about the region and the difficulties that we might face. We received a lot of valuable information of what we can do, and we found the show to be a positive experience for our future strategies.
What can you say about the performance of your company in the show?
We were pleased with our booth location, and we had a lot of visitors to our booth showing a lot of interest in our designs and wanting to know more. With a high number of visitors at times, some visitors unfortunately had to wait for us to be able to attend them.
What products did you showcase ? What are their main features?
The products exhibited were gaming machine toppers and lighting solutions. Most of our lighting solutions are customer specific and developed together with the customer. Sometimes it’s a component of a larger assembly, other times we do the complete assembly for the customer. All products displayed are completed designs and already in use in the casinos.
How was the customer feedback?
We had a lot of interest in our products and very positive feedback on how the products look and also many questions about our designs and our use of the latest lighting technology.
Did you present something special for the Latin American market?
We displayed our latest-developed Magnum topper range. The Magnum toppers offer a thin modern design utilizing our latest lighting technology. Over the years our customers have told us the importance of being able to change artwork fast and easily in the casinos, avoiding wasting the technicians valuable time. With this feedback in mind we have developed a topper that use magnets to hold the artwork in place eliminating the need for tools. Changing of the artwork is literally done in about 15 seconds and the topper itself looks great with vivid RGB colors. Another great feature of the Magnum topper concept is that we can design almost any custom shape and size on a very short lead-time, helping customers meet their time-to-market challenges.
What do you think about Argentine market?
We found that there is an interest in the products we offer. However, traditionally we are predominantly dealing with OEM’s and we were told everyone is importing the slot cabinets and there is no design or assembly in Argentina. We also found out that importation regulation might be a challenge to us. We need to further evaluate how this will impact our chance of success in Argentina.
What are your future plans for LATAM?
We will continue to evaluate the LATAM market. We did find some opportunities outside of Argentina that we are now following up and we will hopefully be able to establish ourselves in the region.
