(US).- The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement announced that New Jersey suffered a drop in online gaming revenue for a second consecutive month during October. Online gaming revenue for October amounted to just under USD 9.5 M, which is about USD 700,000 lower than the USD 10.2 M generated in September.

Prior to September, New Jersey had enjoyed two consecutive months of growth. Borgata, in partnership with online poker brand PartyPoker, remains the state’s most successful online gaming operator after generating US$ 3.2 million in revenue during October, slightly down on the US$ 3.4 million posted in the previous month.

Despite losses in the online gaming market, the state was able to record a significant jump in total gaming earnings from current operators during the month.

New Jersey posted US$ 207.2 million in total gaming earnings from current operators in October, a 19.3% increase on the US$ 173.6 million achieved in the same month last year.

However, taking into account discontinued operators, the total industry figure for the month fell 4.4% year-on-year from US$ 216.9 million in October 2013 to US$ 207.2 million in the same month this year.
