(China).- Xi Jinping, President of China, will visit Macau in December, although the casino industry has concerns that his presence will impact even more on the current decline of VIP gamblers to the World’s largest gambling hub.

President Xi Jinping’s visit is to mark the 15-year anniversary of Macau’s return to Chinese territory rule, however as China mainland and the President himself continues to crack down on corruption within government and businesses,  the numbers of VIP’s coming to Macau while the President is there will certainly be lower than ever.

However Lawrence Ho the Co-CEO of Melco Crown Entertainment said in a recent conference call to investors that the President could bring a gift in the shape of allowing Chinese gamblers to visit the former Portuguese enclave 24 hours a day, by allowing visa’s to be issued at any time of day or night.

Certainly for Macau and the casino industry there, who have suffered huge falls in revenues over the last five months, anything the Chinese President offers will be welcomed.
