(US, excluisve Yogonet.com).- Last month, South Point’s online poker website received final approval from Nevada state gambling regulators, under the Real Gaming brand and became the third real-money online poker site to operate in Nevada. Yogonet.com spoke with Lawrence Vaughan, co-founder of Real Gaming, about the launch and his firm's next steps on Igaming in the US market.

What does the regulators' final approval mean for you?
When a gaming system is approved in the state of Nevada, be it a slot machine or our new online poker platform, the system must be beta-tested with the public. These trials are strict and the Gaming Control Board makes sure systems are held to the highest standards during the process and nothing is missed. Final approval means the system has passed all of these high standards.

Why is it different from the soft launch that went live in February?
The soft launch allowed us to correctly handle any issues that may have happened during the field test. Our system is brand new and built from scratch with today in mind.  Now that the system has been approved and has been put through high scrutiny, we will be bringing it to a much larger audience of players.

This is the third real-money online poker site to operate in Nevada. What are your expectations?
Nevada is still early stages. The education process has only just begun and the different directions each site can grow in the state allow for much more opportunity than many people see on the surface. We expect Nevada to grow tremendously over the coming years.

What does the site offer?
Our site is the only poker site in the US that can be played from any device…iPads, Macs, Pcs, iPhones, Android devices and more. We also do not require players to download and install a poker client, which decreases players’ barriers to entry. This is just the beginning stages for us.

Do you have plans to expand in Nevada or in others states/country?
We built our platform with multiple jurisdictions in mind. This was one of the great advantages with building it from the ground up instead of retro-fitting old software. We can easily enter other regulated markets and this is an advantage we will be leveraging.

How do you see US iGaming law? Is it possible a federal law?
We are optimistic a federal law will eventually be passed. In the meantime we see more and more states realizing that they don’t want to be behind the curve on this and they are quickly adopting regulations and passing laws to make sure they allow the right businesses to serve their states.
