(US).-The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE) has granted conditional approval to an online gaming partnership between Marina District Development Company, parent firm of Atlantic City’s Borgata, and Pala Interactive.

Under the partnership, Pala Interactive will work with Borgata on a range of online gaming initiatives.

A DGE approval letter states that the initial term for the licence is six months, after which it will become subject to final approval from the regulator.

Through its partnership with PartyPoker, the internet poker brand of online operator bwin.party, the Borgata is currently ranked as the top online gaming provider in the state.

In September, the Party Borgata Network generated US$ 3.4 million in winnings, despite the state suffering an overall drop in online gaming revenue. The new partnership with Pala Interactive is likely to see one or more sites added to the already popular network.
