PokerStars launches new UK platform
In order to continue accessing their accounts, PokerStars UK customers will be forced to move their accounts by downloading an updated desktop client or mobile application.
In a statement on its website, PokerStars UK said: “The process is quick and straightforward, and will usually take under a minute to complete. Players using mobile devices will need to move their accounts, either onto the desktop client as described above, or directly onto their mobile device, then download the new app for free from the App Store (for iOS users) or from the PokerStars mobile site (for Android users).”
“Your log-in details, account balance and history will NOT be affected by the change, and you will still be able to enjoy our complete range of games with players from around the world,” sources of the company said.
As part of the new launch, PokerStars will run special freeroll events each day from November 3-7 with a £1,000 (€1,281/US$1,601) -added prize pool.
These free rolls will only be open to UK players that have migrated their accounts.
