(UK).- Pinnacle Sports has become the latest online gaming operator to confirm that it will withdraw from the UK market ahead of the introduction of the new Gambling (Licensing and Advertising) Act.

In an email to customers, the operator said imminent changes in British gambling regulation mean that it is no longer able to offer its services to players resident in Great Britain and will cease operations in the market on September 30.

British players will still have access to all account options until that date and all bets placed up to and including September 30 will be honoured. After this date, British account holders will only be able to withdraw any leftover funds and will no longer be able to access gaming or deposit functions.

The new restrictions only apply to players resident in Great Britain, with British players located in other countries still able to access their accounts as normal.

In the email, Pinnacle Sports said: “We thank all British players for betting with Pinnacle Sports, and should we obtain a British gambling licence in the future, we would be more than happy to accept your business.”
