CPI, born from the 2013 Crane Co. acquisition of MEI, offers the most comprehensive portfolio of cash management solutions in the Gaming industry, with coin and note products from the CashCode, MEI, Money Controls and NRI brands. OEMS and operators now have more convenience in obtaining complete solutions from a single vendor, said sources of the firm.
“These products reflect one of CPI’s greatest aspects,” said Eric Fisher, president of Gaming. “And that’s the breadth of possibilities we offer to our customers. We provide solutions that work for diverse markets and unique needs.”
The CashCode one note acceptor offers superior acceptance upon first insertion thanks to its multi-sensor technology, alignment mechanism and 4-way barcode recognition. The result is an enhanced player experience and, ultimately, more money in the cashbox. Its universal design also provides operators with exceptional flexibility, regardless of country, currency, mounting or protocol. Its acceptor head can be easily swapped from one OEM to the other or from an up-stacking to down-stacking configuration. And with multiple value-added extensions, CashCode one is virtually future-proof.
The CashCode 3000 utilizes the same acceptor head as CashCode one but is equipped with a modified frame to accommodate its 3,000-note cashbox. This increased capacity leads to greater operational efficiencies by reducing the frequency of drops by up to 66%.
The Money Controls Ardac Elite is the industry’s first and only note acceptor with field-proven imaging technology that not only uses multiple wavelengths to scan the entire note but also takes a full-color image of it. This feature increases security and makes it possible to resolve disputes quickly and easily. By monitoring 200,000 data points for every note inserted, the Ardac Elite delivers the highest standards for valid note acceptance, further enhancing the customer experience.
“The combination of MEI’s SC Advance and EASITRAX Soft Count represents CPI’s most comprehensive cash management solution,” said the firm. SC Advance belongs to the winning SC family of note acceptors that has achieved an installed field base of nearly one million units across the worldwide gaming industry. Nearly 150,000 of those units are coupled with EASITRAX, an integrated hardware/software cash management system that drives operational efficiencies from the slot floor to the back room. Operators typically receive a return on investment in less than one year – or faster with the value-added EASITRAX Web feature that enables customized report creation and secure access to performance data from anywhere in the world.
CPI will also showcase the new MEI SCR banknote recycler. The SCR is a two-denomination note recycler that combines the performance and reliability of SC Advance technology with the benefits of note recycling as part of a total cash management solution. As a single closed-loop system, the SCR accepts, accounts for and stores cash from one player to give as change to the next. This allows operators to pay out winnings completely and securely without worrying about hopper starvation. And by holding up to 60 notes on each of its recycling drums, the SCRprovides the capacity required for longer uptime, less cash float needed on site and, ultimately, lower operating costs.
What makes the SCR unique amongst note recyclers are its security features, including a removable anti-stringing mechanism and specialized inventory management system that accurately tracks how many notes go into and out of the machine. It even provides complete note accountability when powered down. And access to system components, when needed for maintenance, can be done without providing access to secured notes.
Novomatic is currently integrating the SCR into its new Giga Star cabinet. After that, it will begin a beta test in Germany with the goal of making it available for sale by the end of 2014.
