The public and private sectors that operate, manage or regulate gaming activities from around the world are invited to this event where attendants will receive training delivered by speakers from Brazil, Uruguay, Venezuela, Argentina, Spain, Colombia, Portugal and Paraguay.
Among the topics to be discussed during the three-day work sessions include “The modernization of lotteries in order to fight illegal gambling and models at the world level”, “Tools to fight illegal gambling and the experience of various Latin American countries”, “License granting models and strategies in order to fight illegal gambling”, and “Management of risks associated with asset laundering in the gaming industry,” all of which will be addressed by officers of the United Nations Office to Fight Organized Crime and Terrorism and of the Financial Action Group of South America (GAFISUD)-European Union Project. There will also be a panel on “Corporate Social Responsibility” delivered by officers of the World Lottery Association (WLA).
