(Australia).-Intralot Gaming Services, a wholly owned subsidiary of Intralot Australia, has signed a contract with the Victorian State Government in Australia to implement a voluntary pre-commitment scheme for up to 30,000 electronic gaming machines (EGM) across the State including the Melbourne Casino.

The Pre-Commitment solution in Victoria, Australia will be a state-of-the-art and world leading Responsible Gaming initiative. Following the successful contract negotiations and a thorough technical and commercial due diligence process, the firm will undertake the operation of the pre-commitment service for a period of 12 years, until August 2027, with system being planned to be installed during 2015 before the official launch on December 1st, 2015.

The Minister for Liquor and Gaming Regulation, the Honourable Edward O’ Donohue MLC, stated: “The Victorian Coalition Government welcomes the agreement reached between the state of Victoria and Intralot and looks forward to continuing to work with IGS to deliver a world leading voluntary pre-commitment system for Victorian gaming machine players.”

“We are very happy to sign this important contract with the Government of Victoria. With the hard work and dedication of our team, we will manage to create an exemplary initiative for the region, the country but also the Gaming sector globally,” added Antonis Markopoulos, Intralot Group Managing Director in Oceania.

Steve Wooding, COO of Intralot Australia, said: "We are very satisfied to conclude this agreement with the government of Victoria. The Pre-commitment scheme is another example of Intralot’s innovative technology and dedication to the principles of Responsible Gaming.
