(Macau).- Venetian Macau has been authorised by the government of the Special Administrative Region to operate three additional exchange kiosks. This will result in an increase in the number of exchange kiosks in the Sands Cotai Central casinos from nine to twelve. The decision was made on 14 July but has only just been announced in the Official Gazette.
These kiosks buy and sell bills and coins in legal currencies as well as buying traveller’s cheques. The kiosks must comply with the rules defined by the Macau Monetary Authority.
Sands Cotai Central is operated by Sands China, a subsidiary of Las Vegas Sands Corp, and is owned by American entrepreneur Sheldon Adelson.
