(US).- The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE) reported an increase on US state online poker revenue in July, ending three consecutive months of declining sales figures. Despite the increase, July was second least successful month since online poker became regulated in New Jersey last year, with June of this year being the least successful in terms of revenue generation.

The three licensed online poker operators in New Jersey took just under USD 2.2 million in July, which was up 4.8% on the USD 2 million generated in the previous month.

In addition to online poker revenue, the amount generated from online gaming as a whole in the state during the month increased to USD 10.1 million, up from USD 9.5 million in June.

The Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa, combined with the PartyPoker internet poker brand of its online gaming operator bwin.party, remains the market leader in the state with a 51.7% share.

However, this is lower than the 52.5% share it held in the previous month, with the WSOP.com and 888 partnership having gained an extra 1% in July to take their market share to more than 47%.
